"This painting depicts a detail from the Dalmatian Hinterland (Dalmatinska Zagora), a frequent source of inspiration for my landscapes. The first autumn rains and shortening days leave a distinct mark on nature and the rarely traveled paths. In this region, the raw earth and mud become a medium where footprints are seldom left today.
